July Favorites (2012)

Hey lovelies this month has gone by so very fast but I'm pretty sure that has to do with the fact that I've been having a blast going out with friends, spending some more time with my boyfriend, and being with my family. You may notice I have more than usually but that is because I have been going out more and well frankly have had more time to get ready.

FOTD- Movie Time

Today's Face of the Day is a look I wear very often since it's so easy to do and still looks good for when you go out at night.  Since I didn't have a lot of time to get ready I went for my to go to look and added a bright pink lip to spice it up.  BTW I was going to watch the movie Ted, which was so and so for me.

El "Face of the Day"  es un look que me utilizo muy a menudo ya que es muy fácil de hacer pero a la misma vez se ve bien para cuando salgas por la noche. Como yo no tenía mucho tiempo para poder prepararme me maquille con este look y me puse una rosa brillante en los labios que le añade un toque de color. Por cierto que yo iba a ver la película de Ted que no esta mas o menos.

I did the mix of the Garnier Frutis B.B. Cream (Light/Medium) and Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation in True Nude (303) to give my skin a luminous glow without having to use highlighter.  Also my bottom lashes have the darkest brown and the bronze from the Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad in Chai Latte, with a little of Sin in the inner corners of my eye.

Hice la mezcla de la Garnier Frutis B.B. Cream (Light/Medium) y Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation en True Nude (303) para darle a mi piel un brillo luminoso sin la necesidad de utilizar "highlighter". Abajo de mis pestañas inferiores tengo el marrón más oscuro y el bronce de la sombra de ojos  Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad in Chai Latte con un poco de Sin en las esquinas internas de mi ojo.

June Favorites (2012)

This month has been way more peaceful than last month since I finished my second year of college and now I'm just taking a summer class to get ahead.  Now with that being said it is SOOOOOO HOT (living in Puerto Rico what can you expect), it's been reaching 100 degrees almost everyday where I live.  So you know I haven't been wearing a lot of products thi summer.

Este mes ha sido mucho más tranquilo desde el mes pasado que fue cuando terminé mi segundo año de universidad y ahora estoy tomando un curso de verano para adelantar. Ahora, con eso dicho hace MUCHO CALOR taaaan HOT (viviendo en Puerto Rico que se puede esperar), a estado llegando a los 100 grados casi todos los días en donde vivo.  Así que ya sabes que no he estado usando una gran cantidad de productos este mes.

Urban Decay Sin Eyeshadow

The Urban Decay eye shadow in Sin is one of my most used products this year by far since I received it in my December MyGlam Bag.  It is from the old line of Urban Decay (the new one is just reformulated) but I think it has a wonderful texture and payoff.  It is a great all over color and perfect for day time of night time use.  But the best part about this product is that it is multipurpose; I use this as both eye shadow and/or a highlight for my face.

La sombra de ojos Sin de Urban Decay es uno de mis productos más utilizado de este año desde que la recibí en mi bolsa de diciembre de MyGlam. Es de la antigua línea de Urban Decay (el nuevo es simplemente reformulados) pero creo que tiene una textura maravillosa y es muy pigmenta. Es un tono ideal para aplicarse por todo el parpado y para el uso diario también hasta para el uso nocturno. Pero la mejor parte acerca de este producto es que es también un "highlighter". Yo uso esto como sombra de ojos y / o un "highlighter" para mi cara.

¿Ves el brillo que tiene que lo hace perfecto como un "highlighter"?

This is has been part of my daily summer routine for the past couple of weeks since it's so easy and quite (I just swipe it on with my finger).  It has a very creamy and smooth texture with makes it very easy to work with and it goes without asking that it is very pigmented. When I use it as a highlight I like to apply it with my finger above my cheekbones and then with a powder brush blend it out.  Even though I could never justify paying $17 for a single eye shadow I would purchase this just because it's multipurpose.  This retails for around $17.00 (or $18.00 for the new formulated one) and can be purchased wherever Urban Decay products are sold.

Esto ha sido parte de mi rutina diario de verano desde hace un par de semanas ya que es muy fácil y rápido (solo lo aplico con el dedo). Tiene una textura muy cremosa y suave que lo hace muy fácil para trabajar con él y no hace ni falta preguntar que es muy pigmentada. Cuando lo uso como un "highlighter" me gusta aplicarlo con el dedo por encima de mis pómulos y luego con una brocha de polvo lo difumino.  A pesar de que nunca podría justificar pagar $17 para una sola sombra de ojos me compraría esto sólo porque es de usos múltiples. Esto tiene un costo de alrededor de $17.00 (o $18.00 para la nueva formula) y se pueden comprar en las tiendas donde los productos de Urban Decay se venden.

May Favorites (2012)

This month has been a hectic and stressful one since I finished my second year of college one week ago and it is also prom and graduation session so I've been using more products than usual.  A couple of products have been the same but some are new and have been getting a lot of use out of them.  I think the type of products I've loved this month is highlighter, as you will see later in this post.

Este mes ha sido un uno agitadora y agotadora ya que terminé mi segundo año de la universidad hace una semana y también es la época de baile de graduación y de graduaciones, así que he estado utilizando mas productos que  lo normal. Algunos de los productos son los mismos del mes pasado, pero algunos son nuevos y los he estado usando en cantidad. Creo que el tipo de producto que he estado utilizando mucho es "highligter", como se verá más adelante en esta reseña.

FOTD- A Dash of Blue

It's been a while since I did a face of the day so I took advantage of Mother's Day and did both.  Since I wore a royal blue maxi dress I wanted my makeup to be a little more subtle, since it was during the day.  I went for a shimmery eye with blue underneath.

FOTD- Saint Patrick's Edition

Today's FOTD is inspired by St. Patrick's Day hence the smokey green eye look and for a bit of fun I also added a double wing liner.  I hardly ever wear green shadow so I was kinda nervous of doing the look but I love the outcome and will probably wear it out at night.

El "FOTD" de hoy está inspirado por el Día de San Patricio, decir por lo tanto, hice este look de ojos ahumados de color verde y para un toque diferente le añadí con mi delineador una doble cola. Casi nunca me pongo sombra verde, así que estaba un poco nerviosa de hacer el look, pero me encanta el resultado y probablemente lo volveré a hacer para ponérmela de noche.
