It is a gel formula that foams up very nicely on the skin. What I really love about it is that it truly cleanses the skin, but at the same time your skin doesn't have a tight or dry feeling to it afterwards. I use this at night time, since it is a stronger facial cleanser; I want the acne treatment to work overnight. This product works for me since I don't have a lot of acne problems, but if you do have severe acne you might want to use this both during the day and night. This bottle lasts forever as well! For the whole year since I've been using this this is only my second bottle, due to the fact that you only need a small amount. I believe anyone who experiences acne should give this a shot since it is so inexpensive. It retails for around $5.49 anywhere Neutrogena is sold.
