NOTD- Sherbert and Bedazzled

Today's NOTD features two of my latest conquests, Sherbert from Bettina's Candy collection and Bedazzled from Claire's.  Plus keep on reading because these are some dupes :D

If you can't tell I'm a sucker for any coral/orange nail polish so naturally I choose to paint my nails this beautiful color for the beginning of Spring.  Bettina is such a wonderful company who sells a wide variety of polishes for under $2.50.  Just as any other Bettina polish I own this goes on with 2 coats and lasts a good 4 days. This is a dupe for Wet n Wild Megalast Heatwave which is just a tad bit more redder.  Sherbert is more of a pinky orange.

Si todavía no se a fijado me encanta los tonos coral/naranja, entonces naturalmente opte pintarme las uñas de este color hermoso para el comienzo de la primavera. Bettina es una compañía maravillosa que vende una amplia variedad de esmaltes por menos de $2.50. Al igual que de los esmaltes Bettina que poseo con 2 capas es suficiente para que te cubra su una y dura por lo menos 4 días. Este es una alternativa de Heatwave de la línea Megalast de Wet n Wild que es un poco más rojizo. Sherbert es más un color naranja rosado.

Now for the fun part! I've been such an accent nail addict lately so naturally I wanted to pair it with a fun glitter.  I choose Bedazzled by Claire's which is such a fun multi colored glitter polish.  It has all kinds of size glitters and is very easy to apply.  What is so special about this polish is that I received this in a giveaway from the wonderful sisters from Eleventh Gorgeous.  (Check them out they are AWESOME!)

¡Ahora viene la parte divertida! He estado adicta a las uñas de acento últimamente entonces naturalmente tuve que coordinarlo con un brillo divertido. Escogí a Bedazzled de Claire's, que es un esmalte de diferentes colores de brillo divertido. Tiene diferentes tamaños de brillo y es muy fácil de aplicar. ¿Qué es tan especial acerca de este esmalte? Lo recibí en un sorteo de las hermanas de Eleventh Gorgeous. (¡Vayan y mira su canal en Youtube son super buenas!)

This is also an exact dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday.  Claire's polish retails for $5 and Deborah Lippmann's glitter polish for $18. To see a comparison check out Scrangie's swatches of both.

2012 Spring Nail Polish Trends

Leave your dark colors aside because this season is all about pastels and neon's.  I picked seven polishes that I thought represented this spring to a T.

Deja tus colores oscuros a un lado porque esta temporada es todo acerca de los pasteles y neones. Tomé siete pule que pensé que representa esta primavera a perfección.

1. Wet n Wild- Heatwave (Bright coral that look great on your fingers and toes) Creme finish
2. Sinful Colors- Savage (The photo doesn't do it justice it is a neon turquoise that looks phenomenal) Matte finish
3. Sinful Colors- Pink Forever (Neon pink that screams girly girl) Creme finish
4. Sally Hansen- Three D (Mix between a coral and an orange, it has orange and gold shimmer in it as well) Shimmer finish

NOTD- Valentine Edition

This special NOTD post is obviously inspired by Valentine's Day.  Wanting to stay in the range of pinks and reds I came up with this simple cute look that is VERY easy to obtain.  I started out with a base (any will do) and then applied two coats of Bettina's “Cotton Candy”, which is a creamy baby pink polish, on all my nails.  I waited about 5 minutes for it to dry and put on both ring fingers Deborah Lippmann's "Do ya think I'm sexy", red glitter polish that has chunky hexagonal glitters.  With this polish you might want to adjust the glitters so it covers your entire nail.  Then waited 2 minutes and put on my top coat.  My favorite is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri because it literally dries in about 2 minutes.

Just as a side note Bettina polishes are the bomb! They cost about $2.50 a pop and they are very opaque. I haven't had a problem with any of them so far and I have a lot of them in my collection.

Walgreens Haul

So I was in need of some crucial beauty necessities this weekend so I headed over to Walgreens with my best friend and fellow blogger Elvira.  I went a little nail polish crazy when I saw the reformulated wet n wild nail polishes and boy they are GREAT! 

Shade: I Need a Refresh-Mint; this is the epitome of Tiffany blue.

Shade: Heatwave; gorgeous coral red.

Shade: Bite the Bullet; dusty rose/purple.

Been looking for a good leave in conditioner and I love it! It's Sleek and Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-in Conditioner Cream.  But it's the new formula which includes: Argan oil from Morocco & Apricot.  

Just your ordinary nail polish remover.
